Anna Silk was born in Fredericton as the daughter of Peter Silk, an academic, and Ilkay Silk, who is an actor as well as a producer, director and educator, playwright and director of drama of Drama at St. Thomas University. Anna Silk was the daughter of a Briton and a Turkish Cypriot English ex-pat. Her appearances in commercials were numerous as a young child.
