Amy Smart is an American former actress and model. Born and brought up in California USA she started her modeling professional career in Italy. Her acting career began in 1996 when she starred in the TV film Her Costly Affair. After a very difficult struggle her way to a role, she got a chance as 'Starship Troopers' in her role in Starship Troopers. Amy struggled to make the switch from modeling to acting since model actors aren't generally considered an actor of high quality. They are usually given smaller roles that aren't important. Yet, somehow Amy refused to give up and stepped into more prestigious roles. It all started with the series The 70s and the film Varsity Blues. After a few years Amy made the jump into bigger roles. Amy was in the 2005 romance film Just Friends alongside Ryan Reynolds. Amy attained the fame she'd been seeking for over 10 years when her film called Just Friends came out. Amy went on to appear in major films such as the Crank Series alongside Jason Statham, and Shameless.
